Wirral Primary Care Trust is responsible for providing frontline NHS services to the Wirral area.
These services include doctors, dentists, opticians, pharmacists, walk-in centres and GP out-of-hours services. The PCT also provides community care such as district nursing, and it commissions other services such as acute hospital, mental health services, voluntary and private sector services.
